In short: ifever stores documents and information you choose, and delivers them to the family and friends you choose if you die or become incapacitated. We are not a law firm, we do not write your will, and we cannot guarantee delivery. Please read the rest, especially “What can go wrong”.
These terms apply to all contracts between you and Apex Ventures Tech LLC Company number [00000000] [Street and number] [Town, Postcode] United Kingdom (“we”).
Our service is for people aged 18 and over. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
ifever is a digital vault. You can store documents, login details and letters in it, encrypted. You decide who gets which contents and who must confirm that you have died or can no longer make decisions. Regular check-ins show that you are fine.
We only release contents when your trusted people confirm it. A missed check-in on its own releases nothing. If a trusted person says you are fine, we stop the process. If a release starts, we tell you so you can cancel it. You can send a test release to yourself at any time.
ifever is not legal advice. We are not a law firm, and we do not create, validate, execute or witness any legal document. Storing a will here does not make it valid. A will’s validity depends on it being properly signed and witnessed in line with the law of the part of the UK where you live, and a power of attorney generally ends at death. Keep your signed originals somewhere safe, such as with your solicitor, and tell your executor where they are. Consult a solicitor. We deliver copies and information; we do not create legal effect.
This is the section that matters most, and we would rather over-explain it than have you discover it later.
ifever must not be your only plan. It is a way to make sure the right family and friends can find what you left them, not a replacement for a properly executed estate plan.
The contract is formed when you finish signing up with “Create account” and choose a plan. Before that you can check and correct your details. We send you a confirmation by email.
Please keep your details up to date, especially your email address and mobile number. Keep your password and any two-factor recovery codes secret and safe.
The prices on our pricing page at the time of ordering apply. All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT.
On the monthly plan you pay monthly in advance, on the yearly plan yearly in advance. We accept [payment methods].
Each paid plan includes a second vault for your spouse or partner at no extra cost. Your partner’s vault is separate and private. You cannot see its contents and your partner cannot see yours.
If your plan ends, we will email you and your partner before anything changes and give your partner the chance to keep their vault. [Describe the rule precisely before launch.]
If a payment fails, we do not lock your vault. Check-ins, reminders and releases carry on, because a switch that silently stops is the worst possible outcome. We get in touch and ask you to make the payment.
[Optional: rule on when, and with what notice, we may end the contract after lasting non-payment.]
ifever is free for recipients and trusted people. They do not enter into a contract with us and never pay anything, including for opening released documents. There are no fees per document.
Monthly plan: the contract runs until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current month.
Yearly plan: the first term is 12 months. After that the contract continues until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.
You can cancel in your account or by email to support@ifever.uk.com. Deletion of your account is permanent and removes your vault, contacts and history.
After the contract ends you can still download your contents for [30] days. Then we delete them.
If you are not satisfied, tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full, to the payment method you used.
This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and your right to cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, which we do not exclude or limit.
A gift covers 12 months of ifever, including a vault for the recipient’s partner. The recipient redeems it with the link we email them. [State expiry, refund and transfer rules before launch.]
Choose your trusted people carefully and tell them beforehand. Keep your contacts’ email addresses and phone numbers current, and respond to check-ins. Only store information that you lawfully own and may share, and do not use the service to store anything unlawful. Sharing account credentials may breach the terms of those accounts; where a provider offers its own legacy tool, we encourage you to use it as well.
We make sure ifever is available with as few interruptions as possible. We announce maintenance in advance where we can. We may change or discontinue the service, and if we discontinue it we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance and give you time to export your vault.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for trusted people giving false information, for the legal validity of your documents, or for any loss arising from a failure to deliver, a premature delivery or the unavailability of the service.
How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
We tell you about changes to these terms by email at least 30 days in advance. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they take effect and request a refund for any unused period.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain valid.
